Selfie arm

We've seen the selfie stick go from a laughable display of 21st century quirk to a regularly spotted tool of modern convenience. In the same way that people once posed for hand painted portraits, they now troll tourist destinations, long stick and mobile phone at the ready.

As if imagining something from a bleak dystopian future, artist Eric Snee has designed a selfie arm to mock up something that very well may exist in the near future.

Would you use this selfie tool?

Well, for now it's only a prototype but creators Eric Snee and Justin Crowe could be well on their way to making it a reality. You can pretend to have a friend in the near future if these two have anything to say about it.

The sarcastic solution to a quintessential problem — nobody wants to look alone while they mindlessly snap pictures of themselves — the product conveniently provides you a welcoming arm. and better yet, it doesn’t talk or have emotions of any sort.

For now, we'll stick to our selfie sticks.
