In the month or so since Zayn's departure from 1D, Directioners have tried everything to convince him to stay: Sad hashtags, photo collages, standing outside his house and crying, probably (advice: don't do that). But has anyone tried singing?

Turns out fledgling boyband The Vamps have stepped up to the plate. Appearing as guests on Radio 1 this weekend, the lads belted their way through a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Cecilia", with a Zayn-y twist. Reading off of lyric sheets that might have just been written a few minutes before, they kinda half-harmonise, half-rap their heartbreak, chronicling Zayn's talent for the high notes, his hair, and a cheeky reference to recent collaborator Naughty Boy.

No word on whether or not Zayn has seen the video yet, but we can bet that as soon as he hears this heartfelt tribute, he'll be back. Hopefully with flowers.

The Vamps have a REAL cover of "Cecilia" on their album Meet The Vamps, collabing with Shawn Mendes. Who is that again?
