True to their yearly tradition, the Killers have just released a new Christmas song called 'Joel, The Lump Of Coal'. This year's effort has been co-written with Jimmy Kimmel and all profits are going to the charity RED.
However, this year's version has none of the jolliness of 'Don't Shoot Me Santa' or warm nostalgia of 'Great Big Sled', it is in fact truly BRUTAL.
Initially, we couldn't wait to listen. After all, Brandon is wearing a Christmas jumper with fairy lights on.
All aboard the f**king cute train everyone.
Things were looking up as well, because the lyrics start with so much optimism and hope.
"A long time ago, in Santa's place up in the old North Pole. There lived a lump of anthracite. His parents called him Joel."
This is going to be happy, isn't it? NO.
Although Joel has big plans for keeping santa warm and making the elves cosy, things don't go to plan.
Suddenly the song takes a truly ominous twist.
And we're not saying Joel dies or anything (Joel dies) but prepare yourself to spend the rest of your day looking like this.
Thanks for nothing Brandon and co. Watch in full now.
