Hey, remember this Vine?
With over 39 million loops in two years, this Vine of an over-enthusiastic concession guy selling Skittles to teen girls at a concert is an internet favourite. And if the massive RED sign behind him wasn't enough of a giveaway, it's important to know that this epic moment was captured during Taylor Swift's last tour in 2013 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
And guess who returned to the venue this week?
Shifty Swifty knows her memes, especially when they happen on her turf; and she's also been collecting a lot of random new friends on her world tour. So when the 1989 Tour made its way back to Glendale, Tay made a point of seeking out the man, the myth, the legend: The "Skittles Guy".
"I was really excited to meet someone who puts such personal flare into his job," Tay writes in a post about the meeting on her Tumblr. "He sells lemonade now and comes up with rhymes to sell it and just generally delights people in the crowd."
You can't deny that Tay pays attention to the things that are making her shows extra special. But as excited as we are that Taylor had a happy reunion with Derrick, we feel like there's somewhere else they could have been hanging out...
(Seriously, just imagine him yelling "SKITTLLLLLEEEESSS" into a mic in front of 18,000 people).
