Florence And The Machine Dog Days Are Over
Taylor Swift perfomrs on her '1989' Tour

Taylor Swift has proved once again that she is completely unstoppable by securing the top spot on the US mid-year album chart. Well, duh?

The singer's mighty album 1989 proved a sales hit when it was released last year, selling 1.3 million copies in its first week in the States.

Now Nielsen, the company that tracks record sales in the US, has revealed that between December and June Swifty has shifted more than 2 million copies of the record. YES TAYLOR.

Not only that, but 1989 is responsible for a HUGE rise in vinyl sales, with the album selling 34,000 copies in that format.

So what does this prove? It proves that Taylor Swift and her incredible 1989 cannot and will not be stopped.
