We're eagerly anticipating the release of The Vaccines' third album English Graffiti, but we're happy to be spoiled with a second single release before the full album arrives next month.
"Minimal Affection" follows on from their first single "Dream Lover" and shows another step in the band's evolution from indie to a more rounded rock sound; which, according to frontman Justin Hayward-Young, "was one of the big aims".
It's also got great neo-80's vibes that we've had some heavy exposure to recently, by way of artists like Brandon Flowers. Basically, it's cool, and you should listen to it.
Hayward-Young admits that the whole album is "quite eclectic sounding in terms of song style", and between the two singles released so far, that's pretty clear to see.
English Graffiti arrives digitally on May 18th, and will be available for physical purchase a week later from May 25th.
