The Weeknd False Alarm
Lady Gaga

Ever thrown a party and had complete randoms turn up? If so, then you'll probably understand what happened at the #TheChainSmokersAreOverParty on Twitter.

For those not in the know, last night the hashtag #TheChainsmokersAreOverParty starting trending on Twitter after the band liked a tweet which dissed Lady Gaga's new single 'Perfect Illusion'.

The Chainsmokers

Damn, that's one shady tweet! It's surprising how many bands and artists forget you can check to see their favourited tweets. Like, how have they not figured that out yet?

Inevitably, a complete shit storm went down.

Gaga fans be mad...

No chill.

[infinite moon emojis]

Mic drop.

Then, for no apparent reason, different fandoms decided to join the party - even if they have nothing to do with The Chainsmokers or Lady Gaga! LOL!

The Skeleton Clique were out in force.

The 1D fandom take the crown for the funniest tweets.

It ain't no party without the 5SOS fam.

BUT WAIT! The story didn't end there. Drew Taggart, the singing half of Chainsmokers, tweeted a message to try to calm the situation. "I've got nothing but respect and admiration for gaga". Hmmm....

Did the Little Monsters believe him? Did they f**k.

They also dug up another tweet by Drew which is kinda shady about Gaga's deal with Amazon to sell her Born This Way album hella cheap during it's first week.

The Chainsmokers

The tweet is literally from 2011! Damn, we're kinda impressed by the level of sleuthing tbh. We're gonna sit on the fence, sip some tea, and say we love 'Perfect Illusion' and 'Closer'. Don't @ us.
