Rihanna is notoriously aloof. She tends to speak on things only if necessary and, even then, pretty sparingly. Her latest interview with T Magazine is probably her most illuminating yet.

Firstly, Rihanna loves googling pictures of childbirth which, I mean, that's truly wild. But her thoughts on racism that she has faced present the star in a whole new light. Rihanna says when she encounters racism in her professional life, challenging those notions almost excite her. 

You know, when I started to experience the difference — or even have my race be highlighted — it was mostly when I would do business deals.


And, you know, that never ends, by the way. It’s still a thing. And it’s the thing that makes me want to prove people wrong. It almost excites me; I know what they’re expecting and I can’t wait to show them that I’m here to exceed those expectations.


Rihanna has spent the better part of 2015 getting checks from her various projects and, from the looks of it, proving a lot of people wrong. Her latest, Anti is due out later this year.
