Alessia Cara How Far I'll Go
Neville Longbottom Luna Lovegood

The majority of Potterheads have always low-key rooted for Neville and Luna to be together - like, they're both cute as hell and they're both a little bit wacky... honestly, what's not to ship?!

Years ago, our lord and saviour JK Rowling said that she always thought Neville and Luna were toooooo different to be compatible as a couple (shattering hopes and dreams in process) but considered changing her mind whilst writing Deathly Hallows.

At the end of the last movie, Neville and Luna share a moment on a bench and their subsequent relationship is left open to interpretation by the good sis JKR, leaving Lunaville shippers room to speculate if they ever really got together. "I'm mad for her!", anyone?

BUT THERE'S A TWIST IN OUR TALE FRIENDS because at the launch of the Wizarding World in Los Angeles, Evanna Lynch absolutely DESTROYED all the Lunaville theories we've ever had by telling Seventeen.com that Luna and Neville DEFINITELY didn't stay together for long - if at all.

Definitely not. I think he's very much a homebody, a stay-at-home dad. And Luna wants to go out and explore the world and different creatures, and I think she wants to have several different relationships and not be committed forever. Neville would want a good sturdy wife who cooks, and that's not her.

We're not surprised but we're kinda sad. At the end of the day, we gotta respect Luna's life hustle and besides, Neville went on to marry Hannah Abbott and Luna married Rolf Scamander anyway so it was never going to be as devastating as Rupert Grint's HORRIFIC prediction about Ron & Hermione. As you were Potterheads, back to reading your non-canon fanfics.
