Beth Ditto Cover

The original Unapologetic Gossip girl, Beth Ditto has dropped a fashion line and it. is. BEYONDDDDD!

After collaborating and kick-starting her foray into fashion with Jean Paul Gaultier for a charitable fashion project last December, Ditto announced she would release a full plus size collection and boy, has she delivered in style!

Beth Ditto SS216 / Skirt $165, Top $120, Leggings $115

Speaking to Refinery 29, Ditto explains the reasoning behind the collection. “There’s just a huge gap: quality, ethics, love, consideration, and passion, because this is [a collection] made by a fat person, for fat people.” She goes on to explain that the entire line was made in the US by a small company, with "no big corporate input". Slay.

Beth Ditto SS216 / Jumpsuit $395

The collection featured draped looks, waist cinching dresses and the perfect balance of Ditto’s gothy black vibes and whacky print aesthetic with both vintage and dance floor feels. It's described by Ditto herself as "uncompromising, unapologetic, and timeless. Go-to pieces designed to last. A movement by us, for us." And her ideal demo includes drag queens, Gabourey Sidibe, Melissa McCarthy, and Rebel Wilson. #SQUAD

I would love to see a girl walking to work in one of the skirts from my collection; that would make me so incredibly happy!

There is 11 pieces in the collection in total, available in sizes 18 to 32, and it is available now on BethDitto.com as well as Selfridges in the UK. But got one question...

WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVEEEEE?!???!

She'll be back with collection number 2 in the fall, so fingers crossed the success of this flawless collection can pave the way for cheaper, more accessible clothing lines for the high street in the future! SERVE IT BETH! SERVE. IT.
