When it comes to dangerous beauty trends, the internet is a treasure trove of tremendously idiotic behaviour.
The latest and greatest internet beauty trend that has us scratching our heads is sunburn art.
Let's get something straight. Sunburns are not a style accessory. The sun is doing its thing and everyone has their assets out, but everyone needs to take precautions because of like, skin cancer, duh.
These people clearly didn't get the memo about sun safety because they're out here doing this:
The process is achieved when clothing straps or sunscreen is applied to the skin before laying out in the sun. The sun bakes your skin everywhere but where you've applied the sunscreen. The results are striped or patterned segments of skin and oh god can we not?
People are trying out a bunch of different patterns and it's almost too much to handle.
The Huffington Post's health writer, Petra Kravos is warning people to avoid this dangerous trend.
Be kind to your body, don't let it burn in the sun and increase your chances of getting a skin cancer. Your body and skin health is precious, so treat it like that.Petra Kravos
So, in other words. Stop this nonsense. We raised you better than this.
