Have you all heard of this guy Paul McCartney? With the people he's hanging out and collaborating with, he's seriously blowing up right now.
The 40th anniversary special of Saturday Night Live saw a lot of great musical acts, from Kanye and Sia to Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon. But a lot of the REAL action happened onstage during the event's after-party.
The former Beatle took to the stage to have a jamming session with Jimmy Fallon, Dan Aykroyd, and resident superstar/fangirl hybrid Taylor Swift. Folks in the crowd managed to get some shaky footage of them all rocking out to the Beatles' classic "I Saw Her Standing There". We definitely wouldn't have been able to keep still either.
And it didn't stop there. Tay also took centre-stage, with Paul Freakin' McCartney on backing guitar, to give that lucky, lucky crowd a live rockin' rendition of "Shake It Off":
Look at the way she signals to Paul for the chord change, and he just nods. Life goal right there.
Someone even managed to nab some footage for Tay herself to use, which she giddily posted last night:
In fact, there are so many 15-second Instagrams out there of this performance that we can almost piece together the entire song.
AND IT DIDN'T STOP THERE.
The party just kept on going with Prince emerging out of nowhere to cut loose and play "Let's Go Crazy":
And any pretence of the stage being a Performers Only spot was abandoned when he was joined onstage by EVERYONE, from Chris Rock and Martin Short to the girls from HAIM.
But no New York party is complete without an impromptu crash from Bill Murray. And here he is, completing the set, doing the tambourine.
Music goals. Party goals. LIFE GOALS.
