Hilary Clinton once said it takes a village to raise a PopBuzz. The village that makes a PopBuzz has a lot of strong opinions on music and this lone villager needs to stand up right now and tell everyone that our fellow PopBuzzer is wrong about their love of Florence And The Machine.
It all comes down to one simple reason. For as much as Florence's machine loves to promote the M&S bohemian's artistic eccentricity, the only examples that ever come to light are quotes like this:
"I spent my 16th birthday high as a kite, jumping out a tree topless in my local park just because it felt amazing hitting the ground."Florence & The Machine
I once ate butter with a spoon as a child but it doesn't make me heir to a long line of British musical eccentrics. In the case of Florence, her eccentricity is super served to those who like their bohemian artistry best served in a ready-meal while they spend their weekends driving Range Rovers.
Here is a genuine British musical eccentric.
The moral of this story is demand more than trees from our musicians. They're capable of so much more than this.
And to my Florence loving PopBuzz colleague, all I can say is...
