It's that classic tale of unrequited love. After almost no time at all, New Yorkers are now rejecting their very own Welcome Ambassador Taylor Swift. How could it have turned so bad so quickly?
Taylor only moved to NYC a few months ago - she said the city literlaly pulled her in like a "magnet".
Citing the her love for the city, she emerged with the gigantic soundtrack-ready track 'Welcome To New York'. Sales of her album '1989' went through the roof and beyond all industry expectations.
Fans and media outlets alike went T-crazy. Taylor was very quickly named as the city's tourism ambassador.
But now, the criticism is starting to roll in. Some have been saying that 'Welcome To New York' is a "gentrification anthem". Reports have emerged that '1989' sales are actually under performing in the NYC area.
New Yorkers are saying, "No."
NYC artist El-P has weighed in on the matter, saying that her song 'Welcome To New York' was actually making him want to leave New York.

We're pretty much expecting Taylor to make a guest appearance next to Kermit anytime soon.
There's really only one thing to remember in a time like this, Tay.
