Charlie Brooker's dark tales from a futuristic dystopian future have found massive audiences in the UK and abroad. Black Mirror doesn't have very many episodes but its chilling narratives have certainly influenced the way audiences respond to story telling.
The cult favourite only has two seasons under its belt, but Netflix is said to be interested in acquiring the series for a platform native deal. There is cause for apprehension about adapting an already established programme for Netflix. Many will remember the disastrous Arrested Development reboot which saw poor writing and storylines mar the mid-2000s classic.
Netflix is clearly keen to expand its portfolio and add another successful programme to its ranks.
No word on how Netflix plans to wrangle the series away from Channel 4 but, as they say in the business, money talks.
