The 1975's epic tearstained sad disco anthem "Somebody Else" has been given a bubblegum synth pop reworking by American pop star Vérité.

The singer dropped her cover on Spotify and Apple Music earlier today (September 9th), taking Matty Healy's tale of sexual jealousy and crafting a shiny pop gem reminiscent of Girls Aloud or Robyn. In fact, it's basically the exact opposite of that slowed down version of Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" that's doing the rounds. And that is no bad thing.
The 1975 are currently in the midst of a huge tour in support of their recent, very good second album with the title that's too long to type out. They return to the UK this December for a full arena tour.
