Until a few years ago, the idea that you could browse all the hotties in your local area with a simple swipe left or right on a phone would have seemed legit crazy. Tinder has undeniably caused a seismic shift in the dating game, for better or for worse.
One of the problems with Tinder is that is can feel very impersonal. It can feel a bit empty because there's no real life context. Even when you match, the connection can go cold. Be honest, how many matches have you really sparked up a conversation with? Exactly.
To counteract this, Tinder has come up with a nifty solution. Behold! The Super Like!
The new feature allows you to tell others that they’re more than just a swipe right. You can select the Super Like button to tell them that they're a bit more special than everyone else. Non-paying users will receive one Super Like a day, while Tinder Plus users will have five per day. The hope is that receiving a Super Like will persuade other people to make more of an effort to talk to each other.
As there are way more non-paying users than paying ones, there will be lots of people with one very big decision to make. That's a lot of pressure. What if the other person doesn't Super Like me back? What if the person next is also super likeable? How on earth am I supposed to know if someone is super likeable in the first place?!? WE NEED HELP GODDAMNIT.
In times of crises like this, we must do what we always do and turn to our non-muggle friends at Hogwarts for advice. Sure, they've never even heard of Tinder but they've usually got some sage advice on most things, right?
