Kanye West does the darndest things.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, actor and comedian Seth Rogen opened up about the time he and his wife were held hostage by the rapper, in one of the strangest private concerts anyone could ever experience.
Last year, with fellow actor and pal James Franco, Seth parodied Kanye's video for "Bound 2", wherein Ye shares a steamy and very unsafe motorbike ride with a topless Kim Kardashian (Seth was Kim in the shot-for shot remake).
Kanye saw the video and decided to repay Seth for the laughs by giving him a slightly unorthodox preview of new album Yeezus, upon running into him in New York.
"Me and my wife had gotten some dessert and were in the lobby getting plates to bring back to our room … And Kanye was like, ‘What are you guys doing? Want to hear my new album?’ So he takes us to this limo van and starts playing his album – except theres no lyrics only beats. So he raps the whole album and after each song, he stops it, like ‘So what do you think?’ We were in the van for 2 hours!"Seth Rogen, Rolling Stone Interview
It sounds like an excellent viral marketing technique if we've ever heard of one - or something else.
