Twenty One Pilots, fresh from escaping a court case over the leak of "Heathens", have got a brand new enemy on their hands - radio stations.
Some clever Reddit-users spotted a few differences in the Suicide Squad single when it popped up on a local radio station...
Maybe the Car Radio just wasn't working?
But it turns out it's not just "Heathens" that gets the edit, with other fans noticing that "Ride" has had its references to bullets removed on some pop stations.
This is fairly common practice for stations, often removing any kind of violent imagery if a local shooting or tragedy has taken place recently. For example, a number of Orlando stations removed any songs with references to guns after the Pulse nightclub shootings.
Still, it does seem odd that while KROQ and alt stations will play the tracks unedited, other stations felt the need to remove the word "docked" or "bullet", particularly when it is so integral to the imagery of the lyrics - this is hardly the most offensive band out there is it?
Still, the worst edit of all is, of course, the Kidz Bop album take on "Ride"...
Wanna hear that awful version? Of course you do.
