2014 Forest Hills Drive may soon take on a different meaning for families in the Fayetteville area of North Carolina. J.Cole, who released 2014 Forest Hills Drive last December, has revealed plans to convert the property referenced in his album title into a temporary rent free residence for single mothers.
J. Cole has spoken candidly in the past about his relationship with the property. Owned by his mother during his childhood, Forest Hills Drive became lost to the family when his single mother could no longer finance it.
J. Cole managed to purchase the home last year before releasing his highly lauded third studio album.
J.Cole spoke to The Combat Jack show and elaborated on his plans.
Much Respect for J.Cole letting single mom's live free in Forest Hills Drive @JColeNC— A.Albaneh (@abdulalbaneh) January 27, 2015
"My goal is to have that be a haven for families. So every two years a new family will come in, they live rent-free. The idea is that it's a single mother with multiple kids and she's coming from a place where all her kids is sharing a room. She might have two, three kids; they're sharing a room. She gets to come here rent-free. I want her kids to feel how I felt when we got to the house."J. Cole
So, yeah. If you didn't already realise that J.Cole was the best person, have some proof.
