The last time I got stuck in an airport, I was jetlagged and everything ran out of battery power and there's nothing to do in Dulles and it was the worst. But, if I had been stuck there with not one, but two Disney Broadway musical casts, things would definitely have been 1000% better.
That's what happened to lucky spectators at LaGuardia airport in New York this week, when a weather warning left them delayed in the terminal with the casts of both the stage adaptations of The Lion King and Aladdin. What started as a rousing impromptu performance of "The Circle Of Life" (which this cast apparently love to do when they're travelling) soon became a Disney stand-off, when Aladdin's resident Genie led his own squad in a freestyle rap that light-heartedly trash-talked their competition. And it just gets better from there.
Even if you aren't stuck in delayed flight hell, the sing-off between both casts will definitely lift your mood. What are the chances Disney will allow a crossover show in the future? MAKE IT HAPPEN.
