It was only last week that we were beside ourselves over the prospect that the boys of One Direction had potentially patched things up in time to amicably celebrate their five year anniversary. Unfortunately, that excitement has been short lived because Zayn Malik just got a confidence boost and he's speaking out.
One Direction's long lost brother just scored a major record contract with RCA and is now being managed by the same people who manage no-filter-having Iggy Azalea.
Speaking out after the fact, Zayn Malik sort of cleared the air about why he left One Direction.
The implication is that Zayn wasn't really himself while in One Direction and that One D don't make #realmusic. This is a pretty shady thing to say considering the fact that Zayn recorded four albums and toured pretty much non-stop with One Direction for over 4 years.
But we can't say we're not happy for Zayn. This means that fans could hear an EP or full length from Zayn within the next 12 months.
