After her extended hiatus from music following her struggle with Lyme disease, Avril is making a return - in the most inspirational way possible.
Avril has debuted the video for her new single "Fly", which has been written in support of her own charity. The Avril Lavigne Foundation seeks to support young people dealing with disability and sever illness, and proceeds for the single will go directly to supporting this year's Special Olympics.
The video is a heartwarming and inspirational montage of Special Olympics contestants competing and interacting, with the odd moment from Avril's visit to a program in Shanghai. Avril supported 30 athletes of the event last year in honour of her 30th birthday. Awww.
"Fly" is available on iTunes, and you can check out the touching tribute below.
